Services Provided to Nova Scotia Applicants

The Nominee Welcoming Center (NWC) will create a custom itinerary for all Nova Scotia nominees at no cost.  Upon invitation for your interview in Nova Scotia, you will receive a questionnaire and other information from which we will prepare a personalized itinerary and arrange your visit to Nova Scotia.

From this introduction, the NWC will escort you and all nominees through the welcoming stage, the landing process and integration into the Nova Scotia community.

Services Available

Exploratory Visit

A requirement of the Nova Scotia Nominee Program is that potential Nominees must visit Nova Scotia for a 7 day exploratory visit. To ensure that this is the most pleasurable and educational experience possible, the NWC provide a Welcoming / Exploratory Visit Services Program. This Program includes the following services for potential Nominees:

• Arranged personalized airport pick-up and delivery
• Arranged accommodation and lodging
• Nova Scotia arranged tours
• Cultural society introduction
• Free high speed internet, fax and photocopy
• English tutor arrangement
• Nova Scotia Information Center
• Liaison services with Regional Development Authorities (RDA) throughout Nova Scotia

Upon Landing in Nova Scotia

This Program provides for the integration of Nominees into Nova Scotia by partnering with public government organizations and private sector companies to build bridges and link Nominees with the community. This Program includes the following services for Nominees:

• Assistance with long term accommodations
• Bank introductions for prearranged account establishment, credit cards, auto loans, lines of credit and mortgages
• Do it yourself settlement kit for medical card, schools, drivers license, etc.
• Liaison services with Regional Development Authorities (RDA) throughout Nova Scotia

Retention Services

This Program makes available to Nominees vital services to assist with making the best life possible once living and working in Nova Scotia. This Program includes the following services for Nominees:

• Consultations with chartered accountants and taxation lawyers
• Drawing up investment or financial plans
